My 1959 Ford Taunus where I found it in Devon Alberta Canada in 1998. We had to move 14 cars and trucks to get at it, it had been siting there for 38 years sunk up to the bottoms of the doors in sand.
Once the car was home, I put in a battery and primed the carb....
...and it started!! I even drove it off of the trailer!Unfortunatly it has alot of rust, the frame is completly gone in the front, but it runs and drives perfectly.
I took the car to a large outdoor car show on a dare, and it was so well recieved they invited me back several more times! In this picture I'm driving it arround the shows parade route to people cheering and laughing, not what you'd expect to see at a car show!
Taunus number two! I found this one in Fairview Alberta Canada. It has next to no rust, but all the mechanical parts are shot.
Starting work on my second 59 Taunus.
No rust in the floor or the trunk floor!
The only rust problem the second car has is the drivers side front fraimrail, this is a shot of my dad prepping the frame for its new rail. The plan is to use the driveline out of the first car in the second ones body/chassis.
I am in dire need of a windshield for this car, or parts or parts cars in any consition, if anyone has any information at all, even if you think the car or part is too rough, I don't care, I need it, please contact me!
