'86 CHEVY S-10 "S-ROC"BEFORE THE TRANSFORMATION

This is my '86 Chevy S10 tohoe . I am 18 and have a part time job at Lubepros . My whole check goes into my cars . I bought it for $1700 but had to dump $650 for all new brakes before I could even drive it . Over all its in great shape . Vertually no rust , clean interior , but the paint is shot . The previous owner had the great idea of spray painting the whole upper half with flat black spray paint . All the chrome is flaking away so I painted it all black . I do all work on it myself .

ELECTROLYSIS

For those of you who have been to my page before , you know i love my lil old S10 . But when the motor locked up as a result of a rod knock , something had to be done . I was not letting my truck go that easy . Not one person would believe in me . Not my parents , not my friends , not anyone in my family , not even my grandmother who supports me in anything else and helped me buy the truck . They think its a pile of shit that should be pushed off the face of the earth . Every day , literaly , I hear why are you wasting your money on it . Some times I think the same thing . I do think of quiting sometimes but then everyone would win . They would be right and I dont think its a pile . Im makin this truck out of love and spite . To see the expression on everyones face who said just quit or I'm just wastin my time and money and the famous It can't be done . I cant wait to see the time when I pull up in the loudest , most bad ass S10 plainfield has ever seen .
A friend of mine had attempted to put a 350 in his 84 S10 ... but that didnt work out so well (see pic below) . So i decided I would give it a whirl . Into the shop it went ...

I am not building this truck to beat any boniville salt flat records or to win best at show at the Chicago world of wheels (thats later) , Im building it so I can just drive through town on those cool summer nights in somthin I built not bought .

I will be posting new pics every day so keep posted .

Oh ya , This was my friends truck . He had a 350 in it but didnt have the patients to fix it everytime he broke it (which was every time he pulled out his driveway). Poor truck . This will NEVER happen to my truck . And no a train didnt hit it or a tree didnt fall on it , Bout 5 dudes and whatever they could get thier hands on attacked it for 3 days .
