Xonticus's 1979 Chevrolet El Camino

*please note, I am a college student and restoration might not be instant on this car, due to lack of funds. thanks.*

This is my 1979 Chevy El Camino, Teal in colour, was made and stayed in Georgia for a number of years, and then was brought up to the Northeast where one owner put a newer 305 chevy v8, 350 Turbo Tranny, new Hurst shift kit, new radiator, hoses, intake and headers, and some new Granny Guages mounted on the dash.

The next owner proceeded to ruin the car by spraypainting, i repeat, spreaypanting the entire interior a grey colour. even the damned seats are half grey, half tan. He did put a newer exhaust on it, but made it come out the sides and thus reducing ground clearance to a couple inches.

This car is in the process of going through a complete overhaul, and all the pics you see are when I got it. I've just gotten it in Mid April 06. Since these pictures I've put in a Claret Bench seat, some body work has been done, the new dual exhaust system has been put in place, new tires and the brakes have been fully fixed. I will soon lift 2" all around, and am also looking towards a 4 barrel edelbrock carb (670 cfm would do the trick) and a new intake manifold. Once I get the engine spiffy and the car sitting pretty, body work will be my next priority.
