UPDATE: November 20th, 2008 12:37PM - I have finally decided to park this car for the winter on just so I can take it apart and work on it as soon as I get the money. I'm planning to drop in a V8 and completely redo the car. Can't wait to start. My dad will be working on his '69 Cornett 440 (Superbee, pretty much) while I work on the Firebird. While waiting for this you can check out the other vehicle I bought. It's a pretty nice 4x4. 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport... Should get me through the winter, haha.

Until then, later.

JOURNAL

Here you will find information regarding updates and other random information about my life and my car.

Updates

June 28th, 2007 11:40PM - WOW. Long time no... anything. I just thought I should update my page since I haven't in awhile. Actually, not a whole lot has been going on until now. Today I just had a new Flowmaster exhaust installed and it sounds way better. It's the first step of many more to come.

It's better if you listen for yourself though.

Oh and by the way. I put in a new battery awhile ago. Now my car is starting no problem.

February 8th, 2007 6:39PM - I finally got the time to check the alternator today. I gave the battery a little charge (enough so the car will turn on) and unscrewed the positive end of the battery. The car still ran so the alternator is good. Good news for me! Now I'm giving the car a full charge and seeing if it will stay this time. I'm driving it tomorrow from now on because my mom wants her jeep back. I'm so happy! Alright, that's enough for updates right now. I'll see you guys later! Don't be strangers!

February 5th, 2007 7:53PM - I haven't told you that the car will not start. It's been a progressive problem and it has to be that either the battery is old and dead or the alternator has a problem. For now, the car is hibernating because I hate to run it in the winter, but come spring I'll be driving it again.

January 1st, 2007 6:05PM - Happy New Year everyone! Hope your all having a good one. Well, the car's been missing like crazy. I'm going to change the plugs and wires and hope that does the trick. Have a good one!

September 16th, 2006 11:07PM - Today I got new tires for my car. Just treads though. Cost about $400. They are white-walled Daytona S/R's. I like them. The next thing I'm going to try and do is rims or interior work. Oh, and I'll try and get some pictures up of the new tires soon!

September 11th, 2006 5:44PM - First of all, a moment of silence for 9/11 2001. ... ... Thank you. It's been awhile since I've been on CarDomain. A couple days ago I went to breakfast with some friends and when I got in my car and tried to start it, it wouldn't ignite. If I gave it some gas it would turn on and idle extremely low. It seemed fine from that point until I would put it in nuetral or downshift from 3rd into 2nd. Then the engine would turn off, power steering would lock up, and I'd have to restart it. Well later on me and my dad figured out that I bent the throttle body from pushing down on the pedal too hard because my dad had taken the governor off. So he bent it back and I learned my lesson. I shall now baby my baby. :) I have another issue too: I think my amp is fried because every time I turn it up it will start to cut out. If I turn on my lights it will turn off completely. It's almost like it just doesn't have enough power. I checked for shorts and everything. All the wires are connected fine.

August 3rd, 2006 8:52 PM - Got my first paycheck of $128.33. Can't spend it on the Firebird though. I'm going to Disney Land for about a week (7th-13th) so I'll catch you all when I get back!

July 26th, 2006 10:49 PM - Well I've decided to come back after awhile. I'm still waiting to get my first paycheck at Yoke's. I added how many miles my car has to the Summary page. It's near the bottom. About 78K and going strong!

July 16th, 2006 10:06 PM - Just got back from a weekend trip with the Firebird. I went up to my friend's grandparent's lake cabin. I loved the ride there because it's all open road with no cops. Haha, and windy roads. Great for the performance tuned suspension. Of course I didn't trash the car though. Don't want to push it too hard. Anyway, I put up a new picture in the exterior section. Check it out!

July 12th, 2006 4:48 PM - Well long time no see people of CarDomain. I haven't been doing much work on the car yet because I'm trying to find a part-time job. Guess what? Got one! Yoke's Fresh Markets is hiring me. Pretty soon I'll get some money built up to fix up my car.

June 29th, 2006 10:13 PM - I used Armor All on the mudflaps to make them shiny. Pictures tomorrow since I didn't take any today. So anyway now the tires, trim, and mudflaps are restored to beauty. My dad also found the piece of the dash that covers up all the wires underneath. I tried putting it in place, but the amp got in the way so I had to remove it from its position (you can see where the amp is in the interior pics). Well when I removed it the wire came off the fuse box (so I replaced it later) and something else must have loosened because every time I try to turn the music up to a loud, enjoyable level the speakers cut in and out. So now I have to figure out what the hell is wrong with it tomorrow.

June 28th, 2006 7:49 PM - Today I used Armor All and restored the bra, rear bumper trim, and tires. It looks beautiful. Pictures will be up later. I also went to Yoke's and applied for a job there. It looks hopeful. He told me to call after July 4th when he's hiring. Anyway when I was coming out of Yoke's I noticed a massive radiator leak (antifreeze making a lake on the pavement) so I got her home as quick as I could making sure the engine didn't overheat. I popped the hood at home and figured out that the lower tube going from the radiator wasn't connected or tight enough so the pressure was just making the antifreeze come out in a steady stream. Later in the day when the engine had cooled I took a socket wrench and put the hose back on tighter. Pretty easy fix. It's also the first thing I've done to this car without help from my dad. Heh.

June 27th, 2006 10:44 PM - Took back the seat covers. Tried to find some good racing ones to replace the ones on there now (since they are faded by the sun) but I couldn't. I also installed a fold up cup holder which will come in handy.

June 26th, 2006 9:00 PM - Recieved seat covers for my birthday today. They weren't the right color and didn't really fit the car so I'm going to take them back.

June 25th, 2006 5:20 PM - I waxed Birdy up today. It's pretty nice what just a wax can do to a paintjob. Much better than any wash could. I would've taken pictures but my camera has no batteries charged up for it. Maybe the next time I wax it though. My birthday is tommorrow so I might get something from my parents for the Firebird. Do any of you reading this know any good ways to clean the bra on the front? Thanks, paheaZe.

June 23rd, 2006 8:55 PM - Today wasn't super productive with Birdy. I just did stuff around the house a.k.a. cleaning. I did put the bra back on later to hide the scratched paint. I'm not a huge fan of the Firebird front bumpers so the bra makes it look better. I cruised to Papa Murphy's and picked up a pizza. Now my mom is cooking it! Good shiat rite ther. Oh, and make sure to take my polls and rate my car! Maybe sign the guestbook too. Haha.

June 22nd, 2006 11:25 PM - Today I have re-done my entire site. I want to get it more organized. If you're reading this I might still be working on it because I'm saving periodically (I know I could hide the car, but I want people to see the production of the site). Hopefully tommorrow I will get more pictures of the engine so that page fills up a little bit more. I waxed some of the parts to make them shiny. Haha, a funny story with that. I must have accidentally got some wax on the fan belt because when I started the car it started squeaking. I revved the engine up to see if it would go away (you never know). Well hell no it didn't. You had to put earplugs in just to get near the car. It was like a loud scream only your mother makes. Haha, well I turned off the car and my dad got a bar of soap. I was kinda like, "hmm, OK?" at first, but he put some soap on the belt and WHAM! Problem solved. My dad's good. I hope it doesn't start up tommorrow. I doubt it will because it's never had a problem with that before.
