This is my Monte. Check her out. It's got a mild 350 small block, backed by a TH-350 tranny w/ a performance shift kit. 10-bolt rear end, with 3.73 gears, I'm not for sure about the gears though, I've never had it apart. The motor is cammed out, it's got an Edelbrock Torker II intake, and an 800 CFM Holley carb and Hooker Headers. Not to shab.
Check out the rest of the pages too!!

Nice ride. Although I don't like the hood scoop so much. Looks cheesy. I guess that is why it is your ride and not mine. Check mine out sometime.

Yeah, there wasn't an SS package for 72 and the horsepowers are really low because of the fact that insurence on big blocks by 72 was out the roof. After the 60's the insurence companies noticed how fast these cars were and how dangerous they were too. So with that impact, there came GM posting lower-than-actual power ratings for their cars and limiting them by the exhaust and various other elements. Doesn't matter to me though, I agree the 72 looks the best(most bad-ass) out of the first generation's and I just rebuilt my 402 into one bad-ass motor...my 440 stroker that puts out 525 horse and 600 torque. Thanks for posting back to me, keep me up to date on any upgrades.

nice car...the only things I'm not liking are the the hood scoop, the Ford style rims and the fact that you have a 350 with an 800 carb, which are really meant for 500 horsepower applications. Other than that, it looks like it is in pretty good shape, and good luck with it.
