Well it turns out it was a faulty wire to the #2 fuel pump. I had to make them understand that was the problem (fuel pump related) and they just would not believe me. I had a mech fuel gauge attached to the #2 pump and it was jumping from 10 to 40 lb!!! I got the car back after replacing new dual throttle bodies, O2 sensors and yada yada yada..  Runs great again. getting the windows tinted now and will post a pic!

Car has been in the shop at the dealer for about 2 weeks now and they can not figure out whats wrong with the idle. $4,000 into repairs and no answer. Gotta have deep pockets for this car...

Did A LOT of work to this puppy. The last pic is of when I purchased it. Since then I have installed NEW EDC struts, 18" wheels, replaced the entire cooling system including radiator and water pump, new dual fuel pumps, filters and lines. New intake manifold Gaskets. Replaced the entire front end. New rotors all around. Installed LCD touch screen CD/DVD/MPS player, CSI front end conversion, replaced belts, alternator, ignition system, paint, and I am sure I am forgetting other stuff but you get the idea. So what do you think so far?

I found this little gem after searching for months! She was hiding in Richmond Virgina of all places? Interior is almost perfect! What can I say about an 850i.. First I would have to say that it’s a car that looks like it’s going 150 mph when it’s parked. It's a 1992 that was meticulously taken care of. Now we are in 2006 and the leather in the car is in excellent condition and everything still works! I live in California and love to drive. You can easily spend 12 hours driving the full California cost. If anyone has been here you know what I mean. The car performs flawlessly and in my opinion deserves a place in automotive history. Now understand that I am getting into car collecting. I have a 1938 Hudson Terraplane a vintage Ford Bronco 4X4 and now added the 850i along with a few other things I don’t want to bother you with. Let me say right now that I have always HATED BMW as everyone and their dog drives them in Los Angeles BUT this car has to be the exception to the rule. Driving to Las Vegas is also a treat. Someone always has a pair of eye’s on it, even in this city...
