Thats right it's not a car it's my crusty old lawn tractor,
But what the hell it's been souped up and that qualifies it as a Hot-rod so here it is
Pulled the smokie tyerd old 8 hp and dropped in a souped 12 hp
This old girl will chug through a foot of grass runnin full throttle in 5th gear!
Had to cut out the front grill section to fit the motor in.
I'm guessing hp is up to bout 18 conservatively, heck B & S uses the same motor for there 17 hp and i think all they do is put on a bigger carb!
Pulled the 12 hp from a toro i bought for parts
I reworked the ports in the block and the carburetor intake.
Polished the conrod.
Shaved the head from a 11 hp (way smaller chamber to start with).
Did some relief work around the valves.
compression is high enough that you can't pull the motor over!
Electric start only.
