I bought this car used with 36k miles and 3 years on it and one owner. I was lucky enough to have a friend who knows the original owner and was able to get a lot of info on the car like warranty work performed, TSBs, and that it had front-end damage previously (a big help at the dealer). This is my second SVT Focus, after flipping my first one, a 2002 silver 3-door.

The performance mods are minor for the time being; just a few bolt-ons and a tune. I will be building a new SVT Focus motor with upgraded block and internals for a turbo separately when I free up the funds for the project. My current CAI is the silver one; the red one with the bypass valve is long gone.

The boots are two-toned black leather and red perforated leather. The ebrake boot had to be custom made as the stock boot has only one leather panel, and the shifter boot was shortened an inch for my short throw shifter. I kept the Momo Airmetal theme throughout, with a Richbrook satin aluminum gear shaft sleeve shipped from the UK to hold the boot to the shift knob. The black billet aluminum HVAC knobs with painted red indicators replace the cheap plastic knobs as well. I topped it off with a brushed aluminum pen in the pen holder. :) Lots of EDM parts on the way. Rate me in Custom Upholstery and Overall Interior!

I've had this setup installed for a few months now, and I'm not too thrilled with the KYB AGX dampers. The drop looks good for a daily driver though, so I think I'll be going with just new Koni dampers soon. The rear swaybar had 7/8" stainless steel clamping collars added to prevent the bar from sliding left or right through the bushings, and the stock spacers were swapped onto the new endlinks.


Brakes & Tire Mods:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Hawk HPS brake pads
-Valvoline SynPower DOT4+ brake fluid
The combination of good tires, better brake fluid, and the Hawk HPS pads really improved braking performance in the dry, but it seems like I still cannot get rid of the slow response in the rain. I'm not sure if the Powerslot rotors have improved anything besides looks, so I will be going with Centric rotors when it comes time to replace them.
