This is my black 1994 Ram. It may not be much but I bought the truck from an old man who used it to tow his fifth wheel camper. This truck screamed old man when I bought it, everything from the windshield hood to the old crome running boards. I have spent alot of my time and money trying to make it a nice truck. I believe I succeeded.

I hope I don't make this too long.

My first major upgrade besides having the whole truck re-painted and having the old man accessories removed was the dual exhaust. I have always loved the sound of free flowing V8 exhuast. I brought the truck to a muffler shop and had every last piece of the stock exhuast ripped out except for the headers. I had the guy install true dual exhaust, headers back. He ran 2.5 inch diameter pipe from the headers to two flowmaster super 40 mufflers then into two 4 inch chrome boom tubes. The catalytic converter was removed and none put back on. So the only thing to muffle the sound from the engine is the flowmasters which don't muffle much. I quickly found a problem when I did this, the 2.5 inch diameter pipe created very little if any back preassure, so the EGR valve would no longer function. There was enough back preassure to flow exhaust to the intake but not enough to over ride the back preassure transducer in the EGR solonoid. So I had to modify my EGR to trick it into thinking it had back preassure constantly.

Secondly I had a power inverter installed behind the passenger seat. I always go camping and having power is handy but never available in most camp sites that I enjoy going to. So to solve this problem I installed this 1750 watt power inverter. Some may say it is over kill but it is handy for when the power goes out too. To run this I installed a second battery useing the stock diesel battery tray that the cummins truck use since they have two batteries. I installed an isolator between the two batteries allowing me to run the battery dead that the inverter runs off of and still be able to start my truck. The inveter is connected to the battery useing the suggested 0 gauge cable.

I also installed an engine start button in the dash. I noticed this in an SRT 10 on the lot of the dealership where I work. As soon as I saw it, I had to have it. Now the only way to start my truck is to put the ignition into the run position and push that red button. I also installed my Clarion touch screen deck with Sirius satelite radio. You can also see my Cobra CB here.

One of the best visual modifications I did is the Line-X spray on bed liner. I love Line-X I find it creates a nice touch. It keeps the factory bed lines and just in general, looks good.

One modification I did that I don't really have a picture for is the Mopar Performance computer. I ordered it from my parts department not expecting much, but I was blown away by the difference. The only down fall of it is I am required to fill my tank with premium fuel. The truck seems much faster now. I must warn though if anyone else is tempted by it, the computer is non street legal due to emissions standards. Just about the same time I installed a Trac-Loc rear end. Getting sick of the old one wheel peel I found an old Trac-Loc rear end kicking around the shop I work at and installed it.

The last but not least modification I have done is the three gauge pillar pods I put up. I have three auto meter NV gauges, stoich, vacuume, and fuel preassure. I find they look really good going up the A-Pillar. The add alot of color during night time driving.

Overall I have sank alot of money into this truck but some of the future modifications I have planned include installing a 360 mopar peformance crate motor and possibly converting to a 6 speed stick.

That start button is great. Bed liner looks sharp too.
