Alright!
The new motor is in! 1988 2.5L Tech 4 from a Pontiac Fiero. Had to do a little work to it (move some parts around and change a few) in order to get it to work. All the accessory drive parts (Alternator, Power Steering Pump...) were on backwards compared to the motor that came out of my car. Dad and I got the motor in and the parts changed, right now I'm waiting on a Water-pump gasket and new spark-plug wires which are supposed to be here tomorrow, and then hopefully I can hear it running! I got the motor for $150CDN, and it had 116000 Miles on the clock (about 180000kms) There were three holes on the Crank that had been slopped out due to the flywheel bolts working themselves loose and then moving around. But I used Manual Transmission Flywheel bolts in those holes and some blue Locktite. I also changed the motor mount as you can see the old one was pretty well used

. I still need to change the transmission mount, but it was going to take awhile to get that one in and I was putting the motor in this weekend (May 24 and 25). So that will have to wait. My plans were to swap the TH125C 3speed transmission for the 440T4 4speed Transmission, but the car I'm driving now needs some attention and I really needed to get my Cutlass Ciera back on the road. So here's a look at the motor before it went in, and while I was working on it. Hopefully I'll get a video of it running, when I get it there. Tonight We got everything ready, and then one of the spark plugs came out of the threads so I'll have to get an easyout to get it out.

Dad and I working away at it...

I also tried to get the Full Instrument Cluster to work, but it was going to take more work that what it was worth. Perhaps if somebody gives me the quick and dirty on how to do it, I'll do it, cause I really want the full cluster. So I swaped my plain head unit for one with a tape deck. It's from a 1986 Cutlass Cruiser.

Check out www.a-body.net it's an awesome site with some awesome people who are all there to help you get your car back on the road, or keep it on the road, or make it tear up the road!

My Frame woes back in August 2007

The new centres (May 2007) $35 for 4

I took the Olds out for a little spin to blow the cobwebs out (Jan 13, 07) still purrs! We went to the beach, and I took some pretty awesome pics!

She's Gold, with Tan Interior, the headliner is drooping, and there is a rip in the back seat, but what can you expect from a 20 year old car? There's only 200000km's on the car, and everything works well. The Car floats on the road, just like driving a Cadillac, without all the $$$$

So Take a look, and let me know what you think!!!

The car was owned by an elderly lady, who didn't drive it much, and then the car was given to her son, he drove it unitll he had to take it in for an inspection, and it wouldn't pass becuase the E-Brake Cables were Siezed, when told he had to have them replaced by the mechanic, he said, I haven't got time for it, do you want it? The Mechanic bought it, and then sold it shortly after, and we purchased it from the Guy who bought it off of the Mechanic. $500 not too bad!
Is It a Luggage Rack? Is It a Spoiler? Who know's? Looks sporty to me!

No special features on this gem, Cruise Control, Delay wipers and a radio from an 1986 Cutlass Cruiser.
