Hey, thanks for checking out my truck, she's a 1975 Chevy Scottsdale 1/2 ton 4x4, and I've had her for a little over 14 years. As a pay back to her for being such a kick ass daily driver, and to ensure another 10+ years of work & 4x4 fun, I decided to sink a little cash into her this summer...

Aside from sanding and painting last fall with a few cans of spray paint inside and out, in the last year I've installed a DeeZee AlumaGuard Competitor Series Tool Box, replaced all the moulding/weather stripping, window regulators and channels, vent window assemblies, rolled in 2 1 gallon cans of Durabak bedliner, and installed a multitude of various other body parts.

As of 4/26/06 the following has also been done:

The original stock 350 4-bolt main V8 engine was pulled and rebuilt with an Edelbrock Performer-Plus Cam and Lifter Kit, Edelbrock Performer-Link True Rolling Timing Chain Set, Crane Cams Energizer Roller Rockers, Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold, Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS Off-Road Carburetor, Trans-Dapt 1" Performance Carburetor Spacer, Edelbrock Dual-Feed Fuel Line and Filter Kit, Edelbrock Performer Fuel Line and Fitting Kit, Edelbrock Performer Series Fuel Pump, MSD Pro-Billet HEI Distributor , MSD Digital 6 Plus Ignition, MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Spark Plug Wire Set, Weiand Action Plus Mechanical Water Pump, Powermaster starter, Flex-a-lite 7-Blade Fan, Hooker Competition long tube headers, K&N X-Stream air filter, K&N Performance Gold oil filter, and an Optima red top battery.

I also installed a B&M transmission cooler, and a new big tube two row radiator. I'm still debating on whether or not to install a Flex-a-Lite direct fit dual electric fan. The stock brake lines were also replaced with Pro Comp braided steel brake lines, and custom parking brake cable brackets were also made and installed.

The original 20 gal. steel fuel tank and sending unit was replaced with a 20 gal. MTS Rustproof Polyethylene gas tank and a new sending unit.

The exhaust system was replaced with a custom dual system with no Catalytic Converter. Starting at the headers, two 2.50" pipes connect to an H pipe, then into two Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers, then straight out the back. It sounds burly...

For the suspension/steering/drive train, I installed a 6" all leaf no block Superlift lift kit, an Energy Hyperflex Master Bushing Replacement System, a Skyjacker Dual Steering Stabilizer, a Hellwig Anti-Sway Bar, Superlift Traction bars, and a AGR steering box. Since my frame was without cracks at the steering box, I had a frame brace welded in for extra protection. The front drive shaft was lengthened, and the rear drive shaft was set up with double cardan joints. I also installed new Premium Warn locking hubs, and all the wheel bearings and tie rod ends were replaced. I also replaced the 35" Pro Comp Mud Terrains and rims with 37" Super Swamper Irok radials on 15x10 American Racing Outlaw II rims.

The front and rear differentials were rebuilt with Detroit Truetrac Posi's, Genuine Gear Master Installation Kits, and Precision 4:88 gears. I also replaced the differential cover in the rear with a polished aluminum one.

The electrical system is currently being fully rewired with a Painless Performance Universal 18-Circuit Harness, and a Painless Performance Auxiliary Light Relay Kit. All the stock gauges that no longer work were pulled and replaced with Auto Meter gauges.

The other cool stuff I'm installing:
KC HiLiTES Back-Up Lights, a 6" Warn 4X Spot Light Kit, and a Hella air horn.

Future upgrades: Interior roll cage, custom rock sliders and a Warn winch.

I'll be posting more pics soon...

I'd also like to thank all the people who've voted for my truck, and posted comments, you all kick ass! Everyone else, feel free to post a comment and let me know what you think about my truck, or, if you have any questions about what I've done, how long it took, or where I got the parts, feel free to ask.

Cheers & Happy Cruisin/wheeling!

Before paint and the new installs it had a 4" lift and 35" tires.

Damn, that's a nice truck, man! Love the Chevy bowtie with the dual flowmaster exhausts, it's badass. So is this primer black paint with those big ass tires. 5 stars for sure! By the way, man, I noticed you have the K&N xstream air filter top. How do you like it?
