This is my '92 lancer evo 1,i bought it in july/august of '05 from an auction for 8 grand!came stock only with a 3" exhaust was too good to be true though wen the motor sezied up 2 months later:@ The plan was always to get the engine forged, just not that quickly though:) It now runs a forged bottom end, the head was lucky enough to escape the damage so was cleaned up and bolted back on.

Having the need for more speed i went for a custom chip'an'tune from gizzmo electronics as well as a IBC boost controller which is giving me headaches at the moment. this is mated with a 500hp fuel pump, so all sorted it knocked out 170kw/230hp at the wheels.

So at a friday night drag meet in december i put it down the strip to see wat it could do,having never raced a 4wd on the strip before showed on its first pass 'bogging' it badly an doing high 13,i adopted the "drive it like you stole it" style launch an gear changing as the nite progressed ended up with a best of a flat 13 which was very disapointing, the diagnosis for the slow time was the stock clutch slipping, something which i couldn't afford to replace durin the engine build. The 4 and rotary nationals didn't fair any better in fact it was worse....so i wont say wat i ran:) However the final friday night meet in march, the clutch kinda healed itself and ran alot better, consistant 1.7 60ft times with lots of wheel spin netted me a best time of 12.6@170km/h

Since then then there are now greddy strut bars on the front and rear.Next on the "to do list" includes fitting the new JUN flywheel thats jus come in from japan, an h/duty clutch. Its been a frustrating year but hopefully when all is fixed it'll be doin high 11's one day :)
