man I wish I got the XRS just cuz my car has no torque at all.... anyways sorrie i wasnt able to get back to you about the aem intake, it is true there is no real aftermarket intake for the xr 05-06 matrix because of the new drive by wire system. but if you adapt the vacume hose on the drive by wire system you can run the 03-04 aem intake on an 05-06 depending on who you talk to they had cel problems but ive been running mine for 6 months with no problems at all. but i dont believe the 06 XRS has DBW I think its still has the throttle cable. so if you look on ebay youll find one that would work for your o6 xrs

Your matrix looks good the next step you should do is lower it and it would look perfect.My opinion 2" drop
