Some Background Information:
Well for those that know me, and for those that don't, I have never been a fan of S.U.V.'s and trucks. But my view point has slightly changed within the past year. I'll explain...
After my wife and I were married in 2004, I realized that her car, a 1997 Infiniti J30, needed to be replaced, quickly. We also moved to a state that had snow during the winter season...which was a change for us since we had lived in Southern California for most of our lives.
I wanted a vehicle that had the option of 4-wheel drive for the snow, and she wanted a vehicle that wasn't low to the ground and had plenty of protection and safety.
So that narrowed our options to a few vehicles. She had expressed some interest in S.U.V.s, like Jeep Cherokees, but I was hesitant. That was until we drove in the Nissan Xterra.
My wife loved how safe and comfortable she felt in the car. I was impressed how it handled off road in tough conditions, yet was not rough driving on the road.
So after getting a good trade-in price for her Infiniti, we bought our 2004 Nissan Xterra. We have never been disappointed with this car.
