This was my starting point. I bought it from the Original Owner's daughter upon his passing. The outside has a fresh coat of original Ford Blue.

The curtins were removed for limo tint rears 35% fronts. The steel wheels were replaced by American Racing/Ansa 17x7" slots with Kuhmo 225 60R 17s to include matching spare... New brakes and brake lines. Original lamps were replaced with Hella H4s, 80/100 blues. I had the original bumpers powder coated silver.

I'd like to do a MSD electronic ignition and a tune next. I'm waiting for my turn in the custom exhaust shop in town. I'm looking for something that reminds you of the V8 old days. Maybe a dual exhaust with same side exits and stainless steel tips. The 302 runs like a top. I want to convert the A/C over to the high pressure system.

I'm in hopes of scoring a chrome grill system. Does anyone know where there might be some NOS items out there for this old girl? I really want to do this correctly. She needs some door and window seals as well.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Griff

Nice van,I am looking for someone who can send me pictures of the power steering hose routing. I bought the power steering from a salvage yard in another state and they shipped it to me. I am not sure where the hoses go. Any help would be great as I can not find the information anywhere. Thanks and keep Vanning.

Dude, Sweet Van! I just picked up a 72' E-200 "Super Van" myself recently. But your's in in a Heck of a Lot better shape than mine is hahaha... Mine was the same color originally, but the guy who had it before me painted it Flat-White (I intend to bring it back to it's original color though ; ) Can't wait to see your new dual-exhaust when you finally get it... Keep me posted; Check out my 72' sometime. Later. -Matt

Nice Econo. Noticed you said you want to do everything right so I would suggest getting rid of anything made in Japan like those tires. Your van came with American made parts and that includes the tires. If you need info or help with finding parts try logging onto www.vannin.com . There are a lot of knowledgable vanners there that can help you.
