After dealing with wheel hop all too often, I decided to fabricate and install a set of traction bars.
Here's my parts list:
- 2 sections of 3/8" steel plate
- 2 sections of 7/8" O.D. heavy wall pipe
- 2 1/2" RH thread nuts (one welded to each section of pipe)
- 2 1/2" LH thread nuts (one welded to each section of pipe)
- 2 1/2" RH jam nuts
- 2 1/2" LH jam nuts
- 2 1/2"x1/2" RH spherical rod ends
- 2 1/2"x1/2" LH spherical rod ends
- 2 clevis brackets welded to the lower control arm
- 4 #8 1/2" bolts with washers and lock nuts.
Nothing but clean wheel spin...
