This is a 1970 Barracuda Gran Coupe, 383 auto, 8.75 axle. I drove this daily my last year of school in Colorado, as you can tell by the pictures, it was daily driven! It was NO SHOW CAR!

Gotta love that view over the Raisin Bran Hood!

The car is now under restoration to fix all the crap that has rusted away since it was built 35 years ago! This car was built 3 months after my dad graduated high school, or 12 years before I was born

Here's some pics of the resto, starting with trunk floor replacement, and so far, I have done ALL the work on my own, except for the rebuild of the rear differential, I just bought a new piece to swap in.

That's the trunk floor, or what's left of it--not much!

that's what the trunk floor looks like after you remove the sheet metal, exposing the frame rails. I painted them inside and out to prevent further rust.

there's the new sheet metal welded in. it was my first welding project, so the welds look ugly, but now that they are ground smooth, you can't even tell! --unless you know EXACTLY what the contours of the factory piece look like, which I do, but I don't care, this car will be a DRIVER, not a show car. As long as it's solid and looks good from the outside, I could care less what's underneath it, as long as it's all metal and no bondo!

the next step was to rebuild the rear suspension, to include new differential--for those who know Mopars, it was a 8.75 axle, 741 case with 2.76:1 open gears. It now sports the original 8.75, but now a 489 case with 3.91SG gears--oh yea!

and here is the car today, sitting in my garage waiting for quarter skins--
