POWERTRAIN PERFORMANCE

I have each page separating the different stages of my restoration and performance project.

Page 1 - Current Condition
Page 2 - Stock Vehicle
Page 3 - Exterior And Body
Page 4 - Interior
Page 5 - Comfort Systems
Pgae 6 - Sound / Entertainment System
Page 7 - Brakes
Page 8 - Chassis And Suspention Modifications
Page 9 - Powertrain Performance
Page 10 - Miscellaneous

THE LIST...

1. Straight pipe exhaust (3") split to dual pipes after down pipe. Piping exits both sides of vehicle just before rear tires.

2. Remove trap oxidizer and replace California exhaust manifold with custom intake with runner to allow easier modification for intercooler setup. Similar to this Intake. Will be a little different due to my idea for the setup.

3. Replace turbo with a Garrett GT3271 Journal-Bearing Turbo ~$900

4. Turbosmart e-boost2 Turbo boost controller w/ injection controller - 2 stage for economy mode and performance ~$600

5. Propane injection kit by Bully Dog Products
Designed to give approx. 80 HP increase under injection or can be set up for progressive adjustment. ~$900

6. NOS dry injection kit by Bully Dog Products Designed to give 50 HP increase under injection. Similar to the Propane kit except for the fact it injects Nitros Oxide instead of Propane. ~$1100

7. Methanol injection kit which I plan on making myself. I am going to use the 2nd unused port on my washer bottle for my pump and hold a water/methanol mix in resevoir. This way I can also still have windshield washer as well. ~$100

8. Intercooler is going to be a pretty custom setup since there really isn't a very good location to put one. Since I am going to put an AMG style front spoiler for the W/C/S123 on it and put the intercooler behind that. Which I think should do pretty well. The intercooler may look something like this:

9. Ballance and Blueprint engine. This I'm not too sure about but I got a local quote for $1100. This will probably be done after I do most everything else or blow something up.

10. Harden crankshaft and rods. Again same as above as for time frame. I am away certain individuals in Finland are getting 28 psi of boost out of these engines without any problems it seems. So We will see.

11. Custom forged pistons will be done at the same time as the above 2 items. Just not worth it if it will hold up to stock. Quoted $896 by JE Pistons
