This is what my 1958 Dodge D-100 used to look like it was my daily driver until april 2009.(See last page for more accurate up todate pics and info on the status of this ride
My only power mods are my lakepipe style exhaust cutout and dual Stromberg carbs with Edmunds intake
I am building this truck into a resto mod, but since I am busy with school it is hard to find the time and money but it will get done. I actually have two of these trucks one will be a flatblack, flathead, and flatbed daily driver and the other will be my hotrod show truck. This is how far I am on the big window cab.
i do have slicks on it.. and im spinning them! they are 12" dot slicks.. and yes i have jus a cheap set of slapper bars to keep it from having axle hop.. but i was actually thinking about doing what you did.. im going to bag the whole truck soon.. so i take it the bags work pretty good then? do you jus let some air out to soften it up and run it? any tricks you have found with your setup?
thx for checkin out my truck, right now ive only been able to hit low 14's.. not to make excuses for it but it has a lot more left in it.. the cam i have is way too big for my converter.. so it falls on its face when i leave and im still spinning bad off the line.. i have like a 2.28 60 time! its horrible it will easily be a mid to low 13 second truck with only a couple fixes.. but i can only progress as funds allow.. glad to see more ppl building old mopar trucks!
