I finally have a Pantera!
There are not many Panteras in Norway, and finding a rust free car for sale was not easy.
My car was bought from PIM in California USA. ( Thanks to Dave and Jerry) The purchase went like clockwork, and the car`s condition was just like they said it would be.
The car needs new paint, wheels and so on.( very little rust)
The boat transport half across the world to Norway this
winter did not damage it.
And since PIM changed the anti freeze in the cooling system, the engine was still in one piece.
It even survived the last 765 miles by train in -30
Celsius(86F) over the mountains from where the boat docked
in Oslo, to where I live in Bodø, way up north.
My second problem was getting Norwegian number plates on the car.
The Pantera were never type approved in my country(in 1972), witch is required in order to have number plates. So I have bought documentation to my car from the German TUV.
And I am now in the prosses of single vehicle approving my car at the local DMV station.
The Problem is that the car has to comply with all the rules for cars registered in Norway 1972.
That means that I have to change the seat belts, front and rear lights, and so on.
As soon as the number plates are on the car, I will start the restoration of the car.
(Finely have the Norwegian number plates on the car 18/12-07)
More pictures will follow as the restoration Continues.
