I am currently a student in high school, my senior year thank you lord. And this is my beauty, my prize, and my life.

Wow, another year has passed. It seems like it was only yesterday when I first got my car, which I had bought 6 years previous. Man how far this car has come and yet how far it still has to go. All is good though.

Recent events since my last writing.

Moved from Oregon to Texas
Unfortunately I did not get to drive my beloved car from Oregon to Texas, on accounts of fear my car would not make it and that I would have to be filling up every 200 miles if that and that would mean a total of around 10 stops. Plus I was more afraid that my engine would blow up or just stop working because it was already running in a semi-good / poor condition.

Car ran out of oil
Yes you read it right. My clumsy self forgot to check the oil on my last fill up and boy did I learn my lesson REAL fast. What had happened was I fried my main bearings, connecting rod bearings, trashed my pistons, the rods were a bit torn up.

Engine Rebuild Time
A total of about 400 bucks to replace parts and re-hone the motor. Wait, thats not the end of this fun adventure which lasted a god forbidden 2 months because I am currently a student working on a some what decent wage trying to restore a car. No wait there's more, as I tore the motor down I got to thinking, hey why stop at rebuilding the engine, why not port and hog the air intake? Well that job had cost me 80 bucks, chumps change in my opinion.

Now the motor is all put back together and in my car, and my car runs. A little smoky but that is expected of a newly rebuilt motor. I plan to put about another 100 miles or so on it before I start worrying too much, because it is putting out white smoke but less and less is being put out which is telling me my piston rings are sealing. If it doesn't stop smoking I may be in for another fun adventure of tearing the head off and checking the gasket, and if thats good then I will have to replace my pistons. Hopefully I don't have to and it all works out in the end.

Currently my car and I as happy as can be.

Well I have good news and some bad news. Good news is I got my car up to 110 Mph. But the bad news is I think I blew my Alternator doing that, but the alternator has to be atleast 10 years old so I feel its time for a new one anyways.

Another thing thats bad is I need to buy a new Carbuerator. I don't want to but its shaping up that I will end up having to buy a new one. The reason being is that the actual linkage part that is on the carb is bent down. When I lift up on the linkage part it purrs like a kitten and whne I let it hang...it starts to do it poo poo ca choo thing. lol. So for now the way I counter that I made the carb idle at a higher speed, this is a quick fix much like duct tape on nascars.

The interior of my car right now. Its going to stay like this until I get a new sound system put in because I plan to mount the speakers into the side panels. Plus I need to make a new console. Notice the wires hanging down...ya those are to go to my dome lights...lol I am a lazy bum and I dont want to do anything about it.

I installed my new Sylvania Silver Star head lights which look AWSOME. We went to auto zone to pick up new lights and when we got there the lady said we have two types of head lights...We have our Generic $10 lights or you can have these Silver Star headlights.

This was a no contest winner. Because I know the Silver Stars are hella bright so I chose them instead of the generic brand. I mean if you want something to last your gonna have to foot the extra cash. No doubt about that.

Now its onto figuring out how my door locks work.

drivebymaster's 1972 BMW 2002

Well I finally got my 1972 BMW 2002 model on to Car Domain. I bought this baby back in 2002. It was weird because the model was 2002 and the year was 2002...So when I told my friends about my car they thought "Oh its a nice BMW like a 6 Series. WRONG...lol

Right now its a restoration process. It has no interior...well it did but I didn't like it. It has no Stereo but that will change over the summer. The locks on this car are tricky to get open from time to time. It has a Performance exhaust on it...and lemme just say its not your average BMW exhaust system.

I am in debate on what to get for a sound system...I mean shit there is a lot of brands out there and I have so little cash...I want to get the bang for the buck. My friend Matt had shown me his stereo in his pick up and I loved it...Subs make all the difference in sound.

Overall I liked the racing stripes, thats what got my attention first. I liked how small this car was and I also like how it only costs about 20-30 bucks to refil the gas tank.

like your 02 a lot. the only thing i would do is paint the grills black again and not run the racing stripes over them. check my 02 out.

Hey buddy,
Love your work. Your car is looking excellent. I tell you what, nothing gets me more than when I see an 02er with racing stripes. It makes it look so kick ass and in my opinion, it really brings out the old 70's feel. I'm looking forward to when I add some black ones to my golf yellow car. Keep up the good work and I'll definitely be keeping an eye on your project!

- Ash
P.S. My car is under "My 1975 02er, Karl".
