This page will be dedicated to the Interior and redoing it.
We all know what the interior to a second Gen camaro looks like but Iam just posting so that I can compare after I am done.
Its Gutted!
So I cleaned up the old Doors and then I read somewhere you can buy a Vinyl Dye so I found some the next day at Hedals and This is the Outcome I think it looks amazing!!!!!
Its been a long time since I updated The Site and the new modifications are... I ripped out the dash, carpet, and old floor insulation.. not to big of a suprise the floor had rust in 3 locations... I got out the grinder and grinded off what i could of the rust and it was rusted through in some places so my dad helped me patch the floor up pretty well.. we put in 3 new floor patches and then i used a seam sealer to cover the remaining of it... after the seam sealer dried nicely I coated the entire floor in rustoleum :D... I bought my self a headliner kit, new carpet, and sound deadner/floor insulation kit... after abouta week i got the floor re-insulated, and then recarpeted as of today..
I also put in an old stereo we had lieing around and 2 new 6x9's for the rear deck things are looking MUCH better on the inside!
Lately I have been doing other things but i decided to make my own mounts for 2 4" speakers in the front of the center console which turned out pretty nice I also received my rear seat set which looks awesome :D i also dyed 4 seat belts black to match and make everythign look Wonderful things are really taking shape on the interior!
So i got some new seat covers for the front and covered the top part of one and it looks pretty sweet ! I was going to take it in but the lady at the shop showed me how to do it in a matter of minutes and i dont think its worth 40 bucks n hour! It really isnt hard at all :D ill finish up the other seats bolt them in and all iw ill have left is the dash for the interior to be com
plete!
Cut the boring crap, no one likes to see completely stock camaro interiors sadly i think they are mainly junk because they are all plastic, they are noisy and ugly for the most part, nothing against other camaro owners who love them but i wanted to go all out and put something wacky in this car, you may not like it but hey i think it fits!
This dash is out of a 60 chevy, it was cut with a saw out of a completely wrecked car at our junk yard- we didn't steal it from something pretty the roof was ripped right off of it and the front end was a nightmare. Either way it makes quite a difference having an actual welded dash in this car!
I think the gauge pods look great when the glass is behind it they follow the same general curve line!
I haven't figured out what color to make it and haven't had nearly enough time to work on this car, actually haven't even touched it since about 2 years ago, I just finished up the 98 about last week- quarter panel replacement, complete paint job, new fender and front bumper cover, all while completing college and still landing in honors group! :)
