2/7/08 I just placed my order to get a 331CI Short Block! Oh ya! But the downside is that I won't get it until the last week of April...
On the happy side of things, here's a few pics of what the car is going to look like. 4 3/4" Cowl Fiberglass Hood And here is a pic of one of the wheels and tires i have on the car. An extremely dirty wheel and tire!
After I had it all buttoned up and was 2 minutes into breaking in the engine, I noticed the oil was foamy... So i started to take the engine apart to find the problem. Take a close look at the #3 cylinder. You can see some antifreeze and water in it.
Lets take a closer look...
Can you believe it!!! 2 HOLES IN THE CYLINDER WALL!!! crap... And a little closer...
So I took the engine all the way apart to have the block sonic tested to see if it was worth fixing, which it wasn't.
Here are the pictures of the engine mostly hooked up.
24" Four core radiator with 2 10" electric fans to pull 4300ci of air
and by the way, the valve covers in the pictures are not the ones i'm going to be using on the engine. the blue "cobra" once are only used to keep the new ones safe! Here are some pics of hooking the T-5 to the engine
and here are the pics while installing the engine and trany
