My 1986 & 1/2 Pontiac Fiero GT

Ten years ago, my wife surprised me by purchasing this car for me. Finances were lean at the time, and she came up with the money by cashing in our life savings. It left us penniless. She said she did it just to cheer me up. It worked. Thanks babe!

This car is an amazing ride - a new car. Well, not "brand" new... It's actually twenty years old (an antique I guess). However, the odometer has yet to roll past 2,000 original miles (yup - TWO THOUSAND). And it's as near perfect as perfect gets - literally an unscathed original (a few "modest" modifications not withstanding).

For one, when I get a chance to drive her, she rolls on brand new 18" ADRs, clad in 225/40ZR18s. (I have the orginal GT rims and Goodyear Eagle GT rubber packed safely away). Also, I lowered her figure to a "in your face - ready to race?" stance. (Fieros are known for their excessive wheel well clearance). Then, to complete the look, I spaced the rear wheel width outboard a full inch (1/2 inch port and starbord). Now it more closley matches the front and looks great. I engineered and fabricated the spacers myself.

Check out the interior. Perfectly stock - floor mats and all. No modifications in here.

The most major "minor" modification would be the instalation of a Nitros-Oxide injection system. (Well, there may or may not have been something else about a catalytic converter conversion something or other, but i'm not talking (and admit nothing).
Anyway, nitros-oxide. I love it. I absolutely am obsessed with this gas and its exaust roaring, tire screaming properties. Yes, I've heard much of the ridicule and ramifications of the misuse and abuse of N2O. But I am very very careful with the stuff (possibly to the extent of neuroses). I conversed extensively with the tech advisery team at N.O.S. before purchasing their product. I did and do everything they advised - right down to limiting my nitros burns to 3 to 4 second bursts. And man-O-man, I'm telling you now, that's all it needs! Exhaust roaring - tires screaming - like I said before. Ya baby!

This is my garage. It's where I put my ride to bed. Actually, I'm usually so busy, I hardly ever get a chance to drive her. So, technically, this is where my ride hibernates. Oh - please don't tell my wife I've been anthropamofising my car again.
I'll have more about my car and garage in the near future. Thanks for reading!
