This is my 1982 Pontiac Trans Am. Here are a list of mod's that have been done to the car.
1990 L-98 engine
edelbrock lower TPI manifold
SLP runners
ported plenum
edelbrock TES headers
flowmaster catback
IROC-Z dual electric cooling fans
serpentine belt drive
complete 1990 electronics and complete harness
T-5 5 speed car used to have a automatic
1984 373 posi/disc rear end
Just wanted to update this a bit.
Since I failed a visual smog test the car was converted to TBI to maintain the look of a carb under the air cleaner. End result the car passed with ease. However I am taking all my TPI parts and having the polished, the edelbrock headers will be coated along with th Y-pipe. I currently have another complete serpentine belt drive setup that everything is either polished or chromed that will be going on the car as well. I also have Vette magnesium valve covers that are polished now to.
The 5 speed needed a rebuild (ouch) that was a hair over a grand to fix it. Problem bad synchros, bad bearings, most teeth of the cluster gears ripped off .... But all is well now and actually I used the car everyday now and it runs great all the time. I am going to detail it perhaps next weekend and take it to one of the 3rd gen gatherings.
So now I am going to be concentrating on highly detailing the engine compartment and after that sell the car or trade it for a 4th gen Firebird.
