Hey dude, good luck. you got a long road ahead. I hope it all goes well. great conversion, makes one hell of a street weapon if you do a bit of engine mods. check out mine for mods if ya want.

Good luck matey. I had a GTi and it flew when it was in the Suzuki and since you are loosing so much weight by putting it in a Mini, make sure that you beef up the brakes too.

I love the project mini you are starting. I have seen a few old school minis with engine swaps and the end product is always impressive. I will have to wait for the outcome of this project I hope you keep your site updated as the project comes along. Later please check my Mini S.
