DrMonkee's 1968 Ford Mustang

This is my baby when i found her in a wrecking yard, the body was in pretty good shape considering it was in a wrecking yard and going on 40 years.

it looks alright, right? i ran the vin just to make sure i hadn't stumbled upon a something rare, and ....
i hadn't. the car was a straight six model car, automatic C-4, black interior, you know the rest. but that was ok, because the six was still in it i knew that someone hadn't twisted the body or screwed up the suspension with a v-8.

what really surprised me is that the junk yard owner actually drove it out in front of his shop for me to pick up. i finally got it back to the shop after about... 1 day of looking at it.

the six is now out of it and i found something much, much cooler to drop in it... a 1993 f150 lightning 351 windsor. now being the early nineties model, it's the one without the supercharger but it still makes respectable base horsepower and torque. also, the 93 351 would fit much better than the triton that the late model lightnings have. plus, i'm a highschool student so funds are limited, the only way i got the truck is because the owner had flipped it on the freeway (ouch!) but only the cab and much of the body was destroyed. the truck still runs fine, in fact it can do some beastily burnouts.

i'm going to change over the front suspension to the mustang two type, change over all of the wiring to the lightning's (unless someone knows a better way? painless wiring wasn't much of a help) i'm going to get a custom roll chage put in it, move the battery to the trunk, put the truck's 4.10's in it, a full disc brake kit probably from a ford expediton, maybe tub the tires, i'm thinking 17's or 18's, we'll see. since the mustang was a six cylinder car, i'm not worried about destroying its value. i want to lay a custom interior in it, i'm liking the SN-95 interior, i don't know yet. my main focus is dropping the engine it, then, after i get everything done, paint and an engine build-up; probably some nos but maybe a supercharger...

i'll try to keep posted and i'll get some pictures of my progress as time goes on and school allows

comments encourged, is there something that i could be doing better or cheaper?
