Camaro Version 3.0 has begun.  I started a new page (page 8) to track the 3rd transformation of my car as I seek faster speeds and times on the road course.

Feel free to leave a comment or give a rating :)

Got the dyno sheet for my motor.  Took a while since this crate motor has been sitting in its original crate for 2+ years.

LS3 is bolted up to the T56 trans and mounted in the TCI Camaro Subframe, which is now bolted into the Camaro.

Not sure if I ever posted on here that my car was shot for the cover of Popular Hot Rodding a few months back.  Here is a behind the scenese video that is pretty cool.

Sadly while the video is cool the cover only featured some of the hood of my car and windshield so I'll share a version of the cover they didn't run but at least you can see my car on it!!

Video from Willow Springs "Big Track."  First video the mount wasn't very stable so it's very shaky but has the data overlay.

This next video the stability is a lot better but no data overlay.  This video ended up being very long.  I originally meant to only do a couple of laps but I kept catch up to people and driving harder.  Was one of my funnest sessions ever.

 Video from SOWS 5/15/11.

Video from Streets of Willow Springs Raceway 4/30/11

Data overlay of the track from one of my 1:32 laps. My new best time.  First time also pulling sustained 0.9+ g's since using Harry's Laptimer.

Some data.  Yellow = .5+ g's and red = .85+ g's

Some video's of my car at Run to the Coast (RTTC)

Ok, I'm having trouble getting youtube videos to embed into the site now and google searched show lots of other frustrated users but no answers.  If anyone knows please leave me a comment with how.

In the mean time here are the links to some fun vids with my new GoPro HD camera.  All vids in 1080P HD.

First practice run on the road course.  I was a mess:

Second part of that practice run after getting it together a bit better.

Sadly I didn't get my official laps on the road course on video which were a decent amount faster.  Oh well.

We met up at classic industries and then jumped on the 405 to the 74 I think it was for a nice twisty drive inland toward tamecula.

Here we are at BBK in Temecula.  They gave us a cool tour and let us do free dyno pulls!!  So Awesome!

Also, while on tour I was laughing at the fact that they kept appologizing for the shop being a mess.  I've been in a few machine shops and this was the cleanest and best organized shop I've seen.

My car going on the dyno!

Chad-68s 1968 Chevrolet Camaro   Chad-68s 1968 Chevrolet Camaro

The only problem hanging with big boys of pro touring is that they have massive horsepower!  I had the lowest numbers of the day but it was fun.  324 ft pounts of torque and 280 horsepower to the wheels.  Assuming the typical 20% drivetrain loss that is 405 ft pounds of torque and 350 horsepower.  Not bad but I'm not accepting freebie LS donations! ha ha

Some track day pics below.  I'll be uploading a lot more on page 7.

UPDATE 11/24/08

Did another Cruise the Crest up Angels Crest highway here in SoCal.  I try to make it for the monthly outing each time.  Managed to get a couple pics and some crappy video before the camera battery died.

UPDATE: Installed a Mark VIII fan to replace the rediculously loud spal fan (just watch vid at bottom of this page to see what I mean).

Update 9/26/08 Finally got the car back on the road after what seems like forever.  Between moving, buying a boat, throwing out my back and some mechanical gremlins 2008 has been a bad year for the car.  I did get some new rims and tires though.

I took over this 68 Camaro project which was in the middle of assembly. The car was in the assembly phase of the project when I bought it, but it didn't drive, didn't have brakes, didn't have any interior, didn't have any glass, etc. Some of the pictures on this site will show work performed before I bought the car and some after.

All of the following mods will be out dated.  complete transformation has begun.

Engine & Drivetrain mods

I was working with a coworker from the Netherlands who was a fan of the American Muscle car so we shot this vid one day while on lunch break. Yes that is my obnoxious electric fan you hear in the first part of the vid.
