Howdy. This page and the following ones will chronicle the progress that I make on my Camaro. Initially I just want to get it road worthy so that I can drive and enjoy it. As time and finances permit, I'll start doing more radical stuff to it. Eventually I want it to look like the silver and black Rally Sport that I drove in high school, but be road race ready underneath, while still keeping all the creature comforts such as A/C (gotta have it here in Texas) and killer sound system.

The interior is in pretty good shape. It needs carpet and the front seats need to be re-done.

This is all that there was to the exhaust. The headers on both sides were rusted out and the glasspacks were essentially straight pipes. I bought some used headers in good shape, but the tubes hit the angle plugs, so I bought some rebuilt heads with straight plugs and the correct accessory bolt holes and sold the old ones on Craigslist.

Here's the engine on it's way to getting the new heads. It is really grungy on the outside, so I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean it is on the inside. I'm planning on getting it buttoned back up and running this weekend if the weather holds.

That's a nice project driver. Reminds me a lot of my 74. Wish I could have redone that but the frame wasn't worth saving. 5 stars to ya and check out my cuda and rate it sometime if you like it.
