1958 Willys Jeep Truck
Credit for the restoration goes to the previous owner. Apart from replacing a few minor things that didn't work & fixing the oil leaks, it's exactly how i bought it a few months ago.
It's noisy, bumpy & on a hot day ya sweat like a pig. It goes alright but compared to todays standards it's no weapon. My Grand could prolly go faster in reverse! But still, i'd call this my daily driver more-so than the Grand!
Few specs
- Original L6-226 Super Hurricane side valve 6cyl engine. Was re-built 2 years ago.
- 3 speed T90 gearbox
- Spicer 18 transfer case
- Dana 25 front
- Dana 44 rear
My current plans for it are
- New tyres
- New shocks
- Replace guages as only the oil & temp guage work atm
- Have the seat re-trimmed
- Treat the frame with anti-corrosion shit to help preserve the good condition that it's currently in
- Replace clapped out body mount rubbers
- Wheel it!
