As you might expect, there is a LOT of history with this car. I am the 3rd owner, and the second since 1983. The gentlemen I purchased this car from bought it back in 1983 when he was 16 as his first car. He used it for many a things, including toy, everyday driver, weekend autocross, and even honeymoon sled! Needless to say, I have received 22 years of known history with this car, and I hope to preserve that as I welcome it into my life.

So, I have decided to call this car El Diablo. Resoning being that the car is red and fierce, and that the guys name is El. So, it just seemed fitting to have such a name, rather than a typical girls name.

So, here is the story about how I came to purchase this car. I have already written several pages worth, please follow this link to get an idea of the experience. Its WELL worth the time, I promise! The Story

So, basically, this is a roadworthy weekend road-track car. The suspension is extremely tight, and the motor is currently running 44mm Mikuni carbs. There is also a role cage that is more for safety than stability, but anything is better than nothing. There is also a cobra racing seat for the driver, which uses a 5point racing harness. The rear seats have been taken out, and the battery has replaced where the right rear passengers feet would be. There is no spare tire, nor tools or jack in the trunk. It also has 14x7 inch Panasport street wheels roling on Micholin Pilot 215/60/R14 tires

The motor is a 18RGEU block, that has a temporary 230 head on it. this will remain on there until I can get the correct head purchased from either AUS or Japan. I will eventually convert to EFI, but for the moment, the 44mm Mikunis will more than do the trick.

Future plans include:
2000 Celica seats for driver and passenger like these:

getting a set of the crome bumpers that fit the car from either AUS, Japan, or UK.
EFI system
Correct head, hopefully with 304/288 cams and porting
GTV badges purchased and ready to go on
Repair the drivers window regulator with the NOS one I have
Floor mates for the front
Seat belts to match the ones that were used in the 2000 celica
Many other things to come!

Hope everyone enjoys!

Please, if you have any thoughts, share them, or contact me with any questions.

Have a great day All!!!

5 Stars. This is a beautiful car, and i bet that its crazy with that s2000 motor in it. I test drove a s2000 and completely fell in love with it, just couldn't afford the 1100 insurence every 6 months. The car is absolutely beautiful.
