Here’s yet another project that I’ll be putting in some serious hours on. This is the ride that I’ve been waiting to get for a while. 48 Chevy Sedan Delivery, not a lot of these around in my area. I took these pictures just after I brought it from a friend of mine 4/20/06. It’s a little lower in the front then I need it to be, so I plan on raising it up about 2” and as you can see it’s way to high for me in the rear, so I’ll be lowering it about 2” out back. That should keep it on the low side and give it a nice aggressive look all around.

Here’s a front view too show just how low she is. I was pushing grass all over the yard.

As you can see in this shot she is defiantly to high in the rear.

Here are some passenger and driver side shots.

Now we have to put a new floor in. I'm not the best sheet metal fabricator, but I did my best. Here are shots of the driver and passenger sides.

I have to give the engine compartment a little attention soon, but here are a couple of shots of the Tune Port that's installed backed up by a 700r trans.

Well now we start the fun part of this project, the bodywork has to be taken care of and since this will be a 5 year project, I plan on taken my time and doing everything right the first time. Here are 3 shots that I took after I returned from the Richmond Nationals 9/11/06.

We have 2 shows to go to in the Carolinas this month, so I had do a little quick bodywork in obvious places in order to get the 48 back on the road.

Here are some shots of the tape job before I shot her.

I was thinking of doing a 2-tone paint job on the 48 so I used some paint that I had lying around in the garage. Here are some shots of the top half. It’s a Creamy Pearl White that I mixed.

The bottom half was shot in a Orange Pearl that I mixed. As you can see its a back yard paint job. I didn't want to shoot the expensive paint that I plan to use at this point, as I still have some bodywork left. A lot of blocking and sanding still needs to be done before this can be considered a show car. I just wanted it to look much different from what it did when I went to the Richmond show and to get some paint on it as I’ll be driving it while I’m getting the other 3 projects done.

Well the crew and I went down to Henderson and Charlotte NC to a couple of car shows. We spent a week down there and had alot of fun. We even made the front page of the Daily Dispacth in Henderson. Here are some shots that I took down in Charlotte on the infield of the Lowes Motor Speedway. As you can see from the Back Yard Kustoms monogram and pictures tells where all the work was done.

More pictures will be added as I go though My Delivery Project. This is 1 of 4 projects that I have going on, I have a 73 Chevy Nova that I got last year that's about ready tobe back on the road. I give it about another month and she'll be ready.

I have a 77 Silverado that's done all in primer and on the road now. Just need to finish the interior work, fresh'n up the motor and then paint. She should be done some time in 2007.

Project 65 Caddy is next up too bat. I'm going to redo the bodywork over the spring and hopefully have it finished and on the road by the fall of 2006.
