I just traded an immaculate 72 Chevy SWB for this 71 Monte. 72 Pickups are everywhere, and I couldn't remember the last time I saw a first generation Monte, so the other guy definitely got the better deal, but I hope to mod this Monte to far surpass what I had in the 72.
It has SS emblems on the side, but I am sure this was not an SS and I can't wait to take them off.
I've only had it a week as of April 20, 2006 and I'm trying to just work out the bugs. So far I've silenced the spedo cable and am now trying to figure out my fuel gauge problem. Along the way I've noticed I have a badly burned positive cable.
