Welcome Alex

Nice Van! Are you going to Granny Groses Busses? April 5th, 6th & 7th. Here's a copy of the latest camp out info from my buddy Justin (the coordinator). Hope to see you there. Oh yea come check out my 82 if you get a chance. Later

Well, when you can start to look up the forecast, the
campout is getting close!!

We have 31 Buses and 6 Bugs reserved. From South Carolina
to Rhode Island to Kentucky. Split Windows, Bay Windows,
Vanagons, Eurovans, Bugs and even a double sliding door 67
panel Bus.

If anyone wants to add to the Saturday Breakfast list,
check the website and email me to add something.

Also, please try to bring one door prize/Bus. Not
mandatory, but it would be nice to see everyone get
something.

I will be arriving at the campground on Wednesday evening.
So, any early birds...Yes you Tom, are more than welcome
to come join me.

Grose's is a private campground. Therefore, drinking is
allowed. BUT, I will be the official campout bouncer. Any
getting outta hand will NOT be tolerated......including
myself :) Quiet time is 11pm. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE
remember that we will be camping in close quarters. Be
respectful of your neighbors. I am trying to situate the
general camping area so that there is a quiet area for
early to bed families. The all nighters can camp next to
the fires pits....YES YOU Baltimore clan. You guys know
where you're bein stashed.lol

For those who want to see a Type 4 engine swap, you'll
have to be there by Thursday. Bear, from SC will be
bringing me a newly rebuilt T4 engine to replace my ailing
GEX crap motor. Bring a change of clothes...lol.

Okay, now you can all enjoy a good laugh. I used my
"photoshop" skills to make a campground map. It will help
anyone arriving in the evening or late hours. Take your
time on 522, bad drivers and local pocheese are out in
force.(see attached map) The top half of the map is
actually a different scale than the bottom half. There
will be additional sites around the campground, but you
wouldn't be with the crowd. I judged each spot as having a
setup next to your Bus or Bug. I'm sure we could pack 50
in the general...if we have to, lol. The single sites are
not that tight, it's just to show where they're at.

I will be at spot 4 in the general camping. That's where
you can register and pay for camping. You will then
receive a window placard to hang on your mirror.

I think that's about it. But I'm sure I'll email again.
lol

OH! Bring bug spray. The bugs are bad at this time of
year. And I'm not talking VW Bugs.

Take care and Keep on Truckin'!

Justin
