1968 Triumph Spitfire MK3

My dad bought it in 1974 (I think) for $1500! It was yellow then!

Then it got painted a sky blue color.
And finally in 2004 it was completely restored...stripped...taken apart...everything!

Note that it has an "extra bumper" on the front pic (scroll up), which from what I've read on-line was only on a select few Spitfires EVER! It also has the "raised" bumper...which was required to meet USA safety specs.

The chrome luggage rack was added in 2004 to the trunk/boot.

The entire hood flips forward to access the engine.

Look closely at this picture again...this model has the center dashboard made of wood...and with the ignition switch on the right hand side, although the steering wheel is on the left...which really made for some interesting cold-weather starts in North Mississippi when you had to turn the key AND pull out the choke at the same time!
