This is me and my dads car. Well I should say his car, but I like to think of it as ours. It is a 1965 Galaxie 500, with a 390 and a 3 speed cruise-o-matic trans. We got the car the summer of 05. We pulled the motor and had it rebuilt and board .40 over that winter. We had the cam changed with a comp cam with a 3/4 raise. We got the transmission rebuilt with a new torque converter. We also upgraded carbs from the 650 autolight to the 750 cfm Edelbrock.
Got the Radio put in now. We put 2 4x6 up front with the 6x9s in the rear and it sounds nice. Tried out a 12 inch sub with jennsen 500 watt amp, but my dad thought it was too much bass, so we didn't put it in, after all it is his car, and i wasn't going to push him. We also got someone to laser cut a stainless steel bracket to hold the radio and put our gauges into. Here are some pitures

We got our bumper we picked up at a junkyard back, all redone and shinny. It looks much better then the one we had on thats for sure.

Get new speakers for the car, much better then the orianl 1 4 x 10 under the front dash. We are going to get a pair of 3" in front, but for now we just got the 6 x 9s also planing on getting a radio next weekend

Got the seat covers put on now, the back seat is in place and we started laying down the carpet.

Just started getting packages the other day from Dearborn
including new carpet, headliner, and seat covers to return the car to its factory look.
