I finally replaced the front springs to bring the ride height back to where it belongs. Here's before:

And after:

Now I don't have to worry about ground clearance, and don't have to worry about the tires rubbing the fenders when I turn.

Pictured below are the old springs. A previous owner lowered the car by heating the coils, but he did a very uneven job as you can see.

Yah I know its not a 442. When I registered it with Cardomain, F-85 wasn't listed under 1966, or else I would have selected it. Maybe I just didn't see it, it was a while ago. But about the car, it has a edelbrock 4 barrel and a holley intake manifold. The transmission is a 3 speed auto.

I know your pain 66Olds. I haven't looked too much for trim parts because I don't need to replace anything. The best source is probably Fusick (www.fusick.com), but they don't have everything. All the trim on mine is original- it's a little scuffed and scratched, but not enough that I'll replace it.

Love the car man. Are the wheel well moldings, rocker panel trim, and quarter panel trim original? I also have an 66 F-85 deluxe and those trim parts are near impossible to find. It was only used on this one trim package, this one year. If you know where I can find them, let me know.

Very nice car. It looks great and you have done an excellent job with the upkeep. A classic indeed. I am looking for a few parts for my 75 cutlass. Mainly backup light lens and park lens. Any info would be appreciated so that my car can look classy like your 66.
