This is my other car I used to daily drive during High School and through first parts of college. 1989 Ford Probe, very first production year model. LX model, 2.2L 4 banger, does very well on gas, previous owner was an engineer for Ford and had donated the car to my aunt, then gave it to me. I started with mods, like some basic tuner mods. Even though it was an ATX (automatice transaxle), it drove very well, especially on the freeway, about 30-33 mpg.

Well now the car sits, until college ends. Then it will be a project car, haven't decided on what I want to do. Either a huge overhaul of the motor, drop in a 5 spd. MTX, high compression everything, reinforce block, rebuild head, and huge T-4 turbo, and this is just a wish list. The other option was a huge project of converting it to RWD, and drop in a Ford 302/5.0, or 351W/5.8. Would be a good pain to do, but, would be different.

Here is how the car sits now:

Hopefully a huge update with new stuff added to the car later in the future!!

Thanks man!! Yeah, coming up with that idea, took some thought, but seems like a real cool and different plan, that I haven't seen on any street Probe. I mean I have seen this setup for the Funny Car dragsters that raced 1/4 mile drag racing in the early 90's, but to make it a real street machine would be plain cool. Take some time to do, and of course was told, wasn't worth it, but hell with that, I wanted to do something different.
