The axels are great. I haven't had any probs. I broke a factory birf one time about 15K ago( wasn't even on the trail. I was pulling up an RTI ramp and it popped)... so for about 225 and been running 35s+ since it had 140K. 5.29 gears lockers front and rear. I have the marlin birfs in it now. I haven't had any probs.

I'm running the factory 2.4L 4cyl. It's got 248K on it. Runs strong and has no probs.
