cordobajoba's 1978 Chrysler CordobaI got her in the spring of 2004 from the 2nd owner (1st owner was his father) in very good condition. It had 160,000km of mostly highway miles on it. Some wear on the driver's seat and only a little bit of external rust on the rear quarter panels. Internal rust... another story.
cordobajoba's 1978 Chrysler CordobaOver the spring many an hour was spent cleaning and polishing and I tell ya she shines up pretty nice. The vinyl roof is only 3 years old and the 'Cadet Blue' paint is original. Stock she holds a Mopar 360ci with a 2bbl low-end Holley carb. The 'revolutionary' Lean-Burn system was spliced out by the previous owner, it has now been completely removed. AC has also been evacuated and torn out. Just a matter of finding a 3 groove water pump pulley to tear out the actual compressor.
cordobajoba's 1978 Chrysler CordobaThe intermittent cruise control has also been removed to cut down on the amount of crap under the hood. As it stands the speedo cable we were left with is too short but if you know you're speeding anyways, what does it matter. Word to the wise: never break a bolt off in one of your heads...it really sucks removing the damn thing.
