nippinupnorth's 1987 Suzuki Samurai

This Is my sami I have had it since I was 16. It has gone through drastic changes over the years.

nippinupnorth's 1987 Suzuki SamuraiThis picture is when I was doing the steering for the toyota diffs. I used a forward facing pitman arm box out of a landcruiser

nippinupnorth's 1987 Suzuki SamuraiHere are a couple pics of my motor swap. It is a 91 4.3L. I changed out the fuel injection because I didnt get all the parts with the motor. I have put on lots of performance mods on it like Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock 600cfm 4 barrel, MSD 6AL, MSD blaster coil, MSD pro billit distributor, Crane cams roller rockers, High flow water pump, billit aluminum V-belt pullys, custom headders I made and more I cant think of.

I had a friend of mine build me a TH350. He did a lot of work to it including bigger flow lines inside, shift kit, extra pack of clutches and better clutches, upgraded valve body,Hurst pistol grip shifter, B & M holeshot 2000 convertor and B & M flex plate.I am running a 84 Toyota transfer case with a twin stick.

nippinupnorth's 1987 Suzuki SamuraiHere is a pic flexing it out to get the driveline dimesions. For suspension it had OME 4" YJ springs, Missing links, Edelbrock extreme travel shocks and other custom stuff.

I wasnt happy with how it flexed at the time so I had to change a couple of things and it flexs better now. For the diffs I went with 93 Toyota rear and 85 toyota front. put crossover steering on, rear disk brake conversion, birfield eliminator kit, spool in rear and Arb up front.

Nice truck, I really like it. I have a couple of question for you since youve been there and done what I am looking to do. I have an 87 samuria w/ the spoa a 5" I beam for blocks 2" shackles 4" body and im missing one thing that i cant think of at the moment. I also bought a s10 blazer for the drivetrain. I am done w/ the samuria frame and im now on to pulling the drive train from the s10. Ive looked online and cant seem to locate any motor mounts for the swap w/o spending a lot of money. Im pretty good at frabricating so i guess my question is should i make my own or buy them and if i should buy them where can i get them reasonable? Also any other tips are greatly appriciated. O I bought a set of super swampers tsl 35x15.5x15 thats the other thing i was missing. thanks
