I've been looking for a typ85 OOOO ride for a while. I wanted a little quattro to which I can do well... everything I wouldn't do to my coupe for its oww and technikal sake. :) and lately, I I found my lilQ. lil car, big hopes! :) These are the pics of my ride. Having couple of typ89 and some typ85 parts, I did not mind many of the bad points of the car, my only points were to have a K-Jet engine and quattro under it, preferrably with ABS and power steering, and low budget. this ride for $630 was quite a budget, I think, at the purchase I had a $1000 limit, so I still have $370 to spend on it, haha :)

half of rear lamps broken, hatch lock broken, 80's rear bumper, not-so-factory-like-spoiler that is screwed through the hatch and causes it to rust, but hey, it's got a trailing hook! I'm so happy that at least I have one, though I keep bumping in it while DIYing and bumping it while parking, haha:) badly rusted fenders not seen on this picture. :)

minor holes in the rear fender, minor cracks in front fender bondo. mis-used front bumper and fog lamps, I stil dared neither removing the wires nor un-taping the foglamps... I'm afraid there might even be MIAs hiding in them!

minor problems with the painting. wonder how didn' the can tannad at all and remain white ? :) maybe the rust spots may be the hot spots, haha

yep, only the FL door works as it's supposed to work, but pal, no prob fixing them :)

this is the only way to know if your quattro is a quattro unless you find a lot with lots of mud :) but hey, there it is, the rear diff! and look, I can tell you what's in the trunk from the outside, I'm superman!

the interior is a bit messy, you can't see but some of the switches are falling off the dash and the ashtray keeps popping out, not to mention the not-any-more-fixable at-least-not-with-screws shift lever skirt :) the poor middle console lacks even the quattro diff switch, but has switch for FL power window (the only one, hehe) and a miscallenous second power windows switch which definately has some wires attached to it but who knows what wires since the remaining 3 windows are muscle-powered :) but hey, one more power window to go and it's fine :)

this little engine was found to be a JN one, after quite some investigation - the original P/N was kinda erased by rust :) the less numbers, the best ;)
