IN PROGRESS--

No changes slated here. Pretty happy with this setup. Except finding door handles, whenever I come across some I'll snatch them.

Next up, interior: For the head unit, I got an old-style kenwood MASK unit because I wanted it to be completely flush with the dash and black when off. That pic is kinda nasty because of all the flash artifacts - my camera sux. O well. Anyway, kickpanels are pretty rudimentary; they house a set of eD 6500 components. Those speakers are just amazing. In these kickpanels, that component set is easily capable of handling down to 50Hz or so, at reasonably high volume, without affecting clarity in the slightest. And clarity ... it's just downright amazing. Anyway, the kickpanels need a little bit of work. For the first pass, I simply used a wood panel for the front face, so they're mounted at an angle where they don't point upward at all. Given the cavernous nature of the car's interior, it doesn't actually affect the imaging *too* much, but it is noticeable. Sometime I'll take them apart and rebuild them with an angled ring so they'll image a bit better.

Most of the rest of the interior is pretty mundane, but I think, for being 34 years old now, it's in pretty good shape :) Here's a quick overview of the front:

And the rear:

In the front, there are some missing buttons on the seats. The metal core of the buttons is still there, but the black vynil top is missing. Probably about 8-10 of these total. I've yet to find a way to fix them without replacing the entire covers, but I'm still looking. The rear has a funky lump in the carpet I'm still working to smooth out, too, but it's less noticeable in the car than it is in the pics :)
The door panels are each missing one piece of trim from the center section, as you can see here:

I think these door panels actually came from a '74 brougham (the stock '72 piece looks a tiny bit different), so if anyone has this piece of trim for sale, or knows where to find it, please contact me!

Nice ride. I was on the site looking at some of the older muscle cars... my first car was a 72 Charger. Oh the memories. Good luck with project and be sure to post some more pics. 5 stars for sure!!!
