We were trying to figure out what to get our boys for their birthdays. We own the most of the BMW baby racers and ride on cars. So what do you get little boys who bring so much joy to your life? DVD system in the car! :)

We had a place called Innovative Audio in Bellevue, WA do all of the custom work. They cut the head rests and place the screens inside. They do really good custom work.

We chose the 5.8 inch Rosen TFT-LCD Widescreen Moniters because they fit well in my sport head rests, which are smaller than the regular head rests.

Here are pictures of each of the screens. Each of the screens also have my boys' names on them, Xander and Elliott. In case you're wondering, the movie playing is "Gone in 60 Seconds"... it's one of their favorite movies. :)

The audio come through two wireless headphones. We chose the Sennheisers because they were the most comfortable and sound quality was pretty good. We placed the charging station inside the rear arm rest. Innovative Audio had to cut a sharkfin-shaped antenna to make it fit inside the arm rest. They color and texture matched the part that was cut off so it looks seamless.

The DVD system has an Alpine DHA-5680 6-disk changer in the trunk. We decided to get the battery cover that comes on the newer 750il's. Then we had a shelf built so that we can put the changer on top of the battery. There's also a spot above the changer for our next project... PlayStaion 2 in the car!

We also had a friend of ours custom build an enclosure for my two 10" subs. As you can see, it fits inside my spare wheel well. This is what it looked like before the subs were in place. Cute, huh?

This is the finished product. Many people have asked what would happen if I had a flat tire. Well, that's what roadside assistance is for! :)
