Here is my 2006 MX-5! I first owned a 2003 Sunburst Yellow Protege5 and loved that but wanted to try a Miata. I bought my 2003 Classic Red Miata later that year and loved it too.

This was my first Miata - It was an amazing car and I never thought they could improve too much on it.

I bought my 2006 MX-5 in September of 2005 and everything that I thought could have been improved on from my last car was better!

I wanted the Limited Edition for the colour, suspension and red leather interior with seat heaters.

The wheels on the LE are nice too ;)

So far there aren't too many mods... I painted the roll bar covers Velocity Red to match the body colour. I got rid of the crappy stock horn and put Piaa horns in. Also, I put the chrome fuel door and aluminum door switch panels on. One of the best mods to the car was dampening the doors with Dynamat. This makes the Bose system sound amazing! So much better than stock. The bass is no longer hollow and the highs are so crisp now! Makes a huge difference.

I put on a RoadsterSport muffler and Racing Beat midpipe. Together the exhaust sound is perfect! They a little more power and the sound is great. The muffler looks a lot nicer than stock too.

I've also added Eibach springs to stiffen the suspension a little more.

Now that I had a the performance mods on the car, I decided to take it to the track.

That was one of the most fun experiences I had. The car performs really well and I think the only other performance mods I'll need in the near future are bigger sway bars, and maybe a slightly lighter flywheel and short shifter to get my shift times as low as possible - but that's nitpicking.

This is a bad picture of the gauge lighting, but it shows how amazing the colours are at night.

I replaced the stock yellow light bulbs for some higher colour temperature and output bulbs. I think it makes the car look more aggressive at night. These pictures a little older - I've since installed 6000k HID headlights - I should have pictures of those soon.

I do like the matching color hoops. I am considering adding a taller hoop to mine. The one that Good-win-racing sells. I might have that powder coated to match. I think I am going to need it since I now have a supercharger on it and plan to track in more often. As far as the suspension goes, you should try the Ohlins. It is like Night and Day difference. I had what you have and then drove my buddies with the Ohlins, and nothing less will do any more. The handling is 100% better. If such a thing is possible. WOW.

Wow, I am blown away! Obviously our taste runs the same, I currently own a classic red 2003 w/ black top/interior and I honestly do not think your new one needs anything else. So classy with the style bars matching the car. I would not have thought of the interior in red but it is the bomb! I am not worthy, very, very nice.
