Here is the original grill in the process of being modified. I have removed the two grill lines in the middle and im filling the areas where the outside of the grill was shaped from the VW sign. (it's silver because I previously spray painted it...)
Here it is after the fibreglass and bondo to cover the previous shape. You can't tell this was the oridinal grill. Covered it and looks so straight like if it always was like this. The Metal grill I molded in there is one from a Honeywell Heater, No I'm not kidding. It was a long ground heater our neighbor threw out. The grill looks amazin'.
Here is some more progress. You can see the side skirts got some more patching done and ... YES I went ahead with Shaving the Handles. One problem, I can't drive this car to get them installed so I goto keep the window open all the time now! HAHA!
Here is some final body patching. After it was primed I was able to spot a few more dents and holes that I've just fixed. Car is now awayting this paint coat.
