I haven't done much to the ZX3 so far....Im looking to upgrade the sound system some more and add some exterior features...maybe even do something under the hood.....I have spent a fortune on the sound system, and I am very pleased with it..I haven't competed in any competitions, but I suspect that I will hold my own class....Diamonds are not big on the market right now, but they are one heck of a loud subwoofer...lol.....Any suggestions as to what I could to do my car please feel free to give your advice...
twinch42085's 2004 Ford FocusI bought this car brand new in June of 2004...I wanted an SVT, but the dealership didn't have any, so I had to settle for less

This is my built to spec Dual Chamber Transmission Line Sub Box waiting to hold two 15" Diamond Competition D9 a.k.a. TDX subs.....Very Nice Subs....I had to remove the back seat just to put the box in, and it is still a tight squeeze..lol

Here is a view of the back of the car without the seats...you can see the carpeted box, amp rack and platform....We cut a hole into the platform to mount the Yellow Top Optima battery...it looked better then sitting it on top of the platform..
twinch42085's 2004 Ford FocusHere are the Mack Daddy's...two 15" Diamond Audio D9 Competition Subs!..2000 Watts RMS each!..This pic was taken after we got them mounted into the transmission line box...those suckers are HeAvY!

A close up top view of the Diamond D9 sub....It's a Beast!

This guy was having two JL 13" W6 installed into his Chevy Tracker....They started his project way b4 mine, and we finished earlier....That tells you something...Cough!!!....JL sux!

twinch42085's 2004 Ford Focus

Preparing to mount the PMA1200A ALPHASONIK amp and the Stinger 1.0 Farad Capacitor...we ran 0 Gauge wire throughout the entire system....where it was mostly needed of course......0 gauge is THICK and a pain in the butt to get to cooperate with you

twinch42085's 2004 Ford Focus

You're probably wondering what this pic has to do with anything...let me tell ya the story behind it.......We...well....He... was trying to drill a hole to run 4 strands of 0 Gauge wire through...He was using a Key Saw Drill bit....Just think of it as a drill bit that has a large circumference......Well....He started drilling at the wrong angle....drill kicked back....hand was in the way.....Cut....AHHHH!....Blood...AHHH!!!...pain!!..lol...not funny...Drill = 1, Human = 0......Had to get 5 stitches....luckily he came back to finish the job...I praise him greatly....

twinch42085's 2004 Ford Focus

Everything is wired and ready to go...we had trouble at first.....we forgot to connect the positive terminal to the battery under the hood...lol...Dumb mistake......still didn't work....we didn't turn the subs back on from the head unit control...another dumb mistake.....but after that we were blaring and ready to go......I didn't get it in the picture, but there is a bass knob mounted in front of the battery...it's pretty cool....

twinch42085's 2004 Ford Focus

Closer view of the D9's after finishing the install.....Very Clean System!........

twinch42085's 2004 Ford FocusThis is a night picture of the Clarion DXZ655 head unit...it changes multiple colors, but you would really need to see it in person

twinch42085's 2004 Ford FocusNight shot of the Stinger 1.0 Farad Capacitor...The blue color is awesome

twinch42085's 2004 Ford FocusShot of the Alphasonik PMA1200A amplifier...it's cool...I had to remove the clear cover plate bc it became irritating with all the rattling sounds

twinch42085's 2004 Ford FocusAnother night shot of the Clarion head unit

The next modification will be 4 HEX components that will be pushed by a Diamond D7 800.4 amplifier...it's a beast!
