The exhaust is made from 2.5" aluminized exhaust tubing. Now you may be asking, why not stainless steel mandral bent, tig welded, etc. etc....well, it comes down to money. Cost had to be cut somewhere and that is where it ended up being cut. However, this exhaust will be cleaned up and coated by Jet-Hot in OKC.

I had an exhaust shop bend and flange the tubing according to my needs (design). I had Burnes Stainless send me SS band clamps and flange clamps, talk about expensive, but worth it! I spent a lot of time thinking this exhaust thing through! I did a lot of research on various mufflers, styles, brands and types...both internal and external. I researched various ways to eliminate interior sound and reduce heat. I also picked up a few rubber grommets that I used with brackets to mount the exhaust up in the car. The rubber will ensure a snug and secure hold while not allowing metal on metal problems and noises. The objective was to tuck the entire exhaust system so that it would not be sticking out and noticeable from a distance....and obviously give the maximum ground clearance for drivability.

I also had clearance and space issues when dealing with the muffler, and of course it couldn't be just any muffer it had to be custom as well. I wanted to achieve an X-design cross over and muffle it at the same time...hmmmm, a cross over muffler.

I took two mufflers and cut them open..."The doctor is in"

Another place where cost and time had to be cut were the headers. So instead of custom fabricated, I found some that only needed minor alterations, saving time and money.

I want to give a special thanks to Rocky...for letting me bug him with multiple trips to his exhaust shop. He also let me borrow an exhaust tip to ensure that it would work out for me. Between the internet, various catalogs and his selection, it was only a matter of time before I knew that I would find the perfect tip. I did end up shaping them a bit, but these tips fit like a glove.

I built this engine cart to aid in transportation, storage and working on this mammoth power plant.

NOPE, not done yet...you don't see any burn outs?!?!

I will be updating my build as I have time. Be watching for various videos that I plan on putting on the first page. Your input is welcome...bare with me as I have numerous projects and building this site does take some time.
