This is my "stock for now" '78 'Mont. Along with my co-pilot Hogan. He is a 120lb Bernese Mountain Dog who loves to ride in the 'Mont and swim in the ocean.

The Ford Fairmont Model was manufactured between 1978 - 1983. It was the replacement model for the discontinued Maverick. It was not meant to be a muscle car. It was promoted to be an economical midsize. Standard power plant was a 4 cylinder. Mine has the optional inline 6 cylinder with the C3 automatic transmission. They did offer a 302 V8 as well.
My first upgrade, wheels and tires from an '89 Mustang 5.0.
Here it is all rimmed up with the new wheels and tires. Went from a 14x6 to 15x8 makes a big difference in the ride as well as the look. What do you think?
