The calm before the storm! some in action pics of the supercharger install...
The Initial Mess and dissassembly....
Coolant hardline removed/replaced, Compound Fuel Pressure Regulator installed, vaccuum adapter installed, supercharger mounting bracket installed, brake booster adapter removed/plugged, booster hose repositioned.
Decided to go farther, ........go big or go home right?
Removed front bumper and rebar to access the stock air filter parts and also decided to add a B&M transmission cooler. Also my pile o'parts:
Well, here are the first of the money shots. Suspense has been running high. Supercharger has a fresh oil change, new 2.6" underdrive pulley, custom made EGR block off plate, new red coupler to intake adapter.
Had some time today, and the weather is actually quite mild so I decided to tinker with the car a little. I opened up all the wiring harness for the TPS, MAF, IAT, EGR to relocate the harness. I found that the MAF harness has to be lengthened to reach the new location on the CAI. Also mounted and plumbed the PCV oil catch system
Contacted the guy thats tuning it, and was advised to upgrade the injectors. Went with 42.5lb/hr injectors So here's the mess now:
Got the injectors and all the intake stuff. I found after my first few test runs that the blower was running way too hot. Kevin had to tune the car with -10 degrees of timing to remove the knock So I removed the front bumper again and installed the alcohol injection kit. So here are the pics from injectors to finish:
Time for final tuning with the alchy kit and some time at the track and shows. Its been a long winter/spring, time to enjoy the results.
